Is it ever going to end

The past few weeks I have been struggling with my addiction a lot. I had a good run for about 4 weeks and then right when school started, BAM I'm back into it and relapsed again. Why is it so hard to have hope when I can't even go a week without sinning anymore. At this rate I'm not going to be able to go on a mission. Is it ever going to end?

My humble opion
to answer you question firts, I am not sure it is ever going to end. That is not to be negative or to discourage you, but the strength of what we fight against is MORE than we can handle - step 1. I know for me i have told myself if I coudl only make it to 90 days or 100 days then things will get better. I did make it to those points and while for a while it was easier in some ways, the pull was still there. Might I suggest taht you look at your life in 24 hour periods. If you can make it for 24 hours ONLY God will take care of the rest. When I try to think about a lifetime of sobriety it is completely overwhelming for me, but if I can go through today read my scriptures, pray, turn my anger and resentment over to God for now, for the next few hours. There is still a lot of anger and resentment in my hear that I can't let go of. Hope this helps

"Man has a dual nature; one, related to the earthly or animal life; the other, akin to the divine. Whether a man remains satisfied within what we designate the animal world, satisfied with what the animal world will give him, yielding without effort to the whim of his appetites and passions and slipping farther and farther into the realm of indulgence, or whether, through self-mastery, he rises toward intellectual, moral, and spiritual enjoyments depends upon the kind of choice he makes every day, nay, every hour of his life"
