"my soul is pained no more"

Mosiah 27:29 — My soul hath been redeemed from the gall of bitterness and bonds of iniquity. I was in the darkest abyss; but now I behold the marvelous light of God. My soul was racked with eternal torment; but I am snatched, and my soul is pained no more.
How peaceful that sounds. How much damage did I do to my soul everyday for years? I have damaged my soul almost beyond repair. However, I know that nothing is beyond repair of the Master Healer. He can heal me and is healing me that my soul will be pained no more. I hope and pray that he can do the same for my wife. I have damaged her soul so badly. Wounds on top of wounds afflict her soul and I long for her to be pained no longer. I know it will take time. It's always hard to be patient, but I do know the Lord can "snatch" her from the torment her soul is racked with. I pray that she can be snatched from that torment and behold the marvelous light of God.

"Lucifer will do all in his power to keep you captive. You are familiar with his strategy. He whispers: “No one will ever know.” “Just one more time.” “You can’t change; you have tried before and failed.” “It’s too late; you’ve gone too far.” Don’t let him discourage you. When you take the path that climbs, that harder path of the Savior, there are rewards along the way. When you do something right, when you resist temptation, when you meet a goal, you will feel very good about it. It is a very different kind of feeling than you have when you violate commandments—an altogether different feeling. It brings a measure of peace and comfort and provides encouragement to press on. "
